The Chinese medical system has a history of more than 2,000 years, and the philosophy is based on Taoist principles, Confucianism, and Buddhism. The philosophy of Chinese medicine sees humans as an inseparable part of nature, living in harmony with their natural environment. There is an emphasis on preventative measures so that illness will never have a chance to develop. The strategy is the balance in all things from diet, exercise, and emotions - if they are balanced, the disease is not able to take hold. This book aggregates information on how traditional wisdom influences our lifestyle in modern living from the perspectives of health and disease, natural environment, dietary, emotions, exercise, human constitutions, prevention of diseases, and life preservation. We hope that you will find it useful and that you will learn something you did not know about traditional Chinese medicine.
